Healthwatch Isles of Scilly has built up local knowledge, experience and effective contacts and working relationships.
Local knowledge: we find out about your views and experience of health and social care.
Local Influence: We contribute local knowledge and community views at the planning stage, through our seat on the Health and Wellbeing Board; we pass on feedback, discuss service provision and raise issues through regular liaison and working groups. We ask for change if it is needed.
Local scrutiny: we have a seat on the IOS Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee and can refer matters requiring action. We work closely with the Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee in holding services to account.
Local information: we bring you news and information about regional and local services through newsletters and bulletins; and we can help you find sources of further information and advice.
Local involvement: we alert you to consultations and opportunities to have your say.
As part of the healthwatch network, we report to Healthwatch England so issues can be addressed nationally.
